Gaz de France provides financial support for local development in Southern regions

A financial participation agreement for the “Charouine Daïra (district), support for local capacity strengthening and sustainable development” project was signed on Monday, September 10th at the Sheraton hotel in Algiers by the Director General of Gaz de France Group, M. Didier Holleaux and the UNDP Resident Representative, M. Marc Destanne de Bernis in the presence of national institution representatives.

 

Strengthening women’s knowledge on their labor rights.

 

55 Women trade unionists and 10 magistrates met on September, 9th in Algiers for a study day on the labor rights of women.

 

Strengthening religious leaders’ role in combating HIV-AIDS

 

80 Muslim and Christian religious leaders from the Arab world took part in the regional seminar of the religious leaders’ network combating AIDS from July, 2nd to July, 5th. The seminar was organized by “HARPAS”, the UNDP regional program on HIV-AIDS, in collaboration with the UNDP office in Algiers and the Religious Affairs and Waqfs Ministry.
